The CEO of Conflux, Arnulf von Zedtwitz-Liebenstein, is invited by Prof Bengt Långström to give a talk at Uppsala Spring Meeting. The subject is how Conflux intelligent heating can support the industry of microfluidics, in this case, in the area of Molecular Imaging.
The meeting is held at Uppsala Consert and Congress Hall.

Torbjörn Karlsson started at Conflux 1st of March as a Sales and Senior Project Manager. Torbjörn has a background as a Senior Project Manager with the speciality of developing new services. Torbjörn has during a couple of years also acted as a sales specialist, selling non standardized products. He has also worked as a trainer at Telia AB and as line Manager in two companies. Torbjörn´s latest employment was at an IT consultant company as a Senior Project Manager and Salesman, selling IT services to local authorities. Torbjörn, due to his background working within large international organisations as Xerox, British Telecom, AT&T Unisource and Telia, is used to run large multilanguage sales and implementation projects.
Conflux AB and Flextem GmbH starts joint partnership in the German market
Conflux AB, the Swedish intelligent heating technology company, has for some time experienced the strong demand of new, innovative technologies from the German market. Flextem GmbH will now make sure that this demand is met. Areas of strong demand are the Automotive, Medical and Electronics industry. To supply the big demand from the German markets of the intelligent heating technology, the well renounced company Flextem GmbH has agreed to partner with Conflux AB.

Conflux expands the distribution capacity across Europe
Distrelec is a large player in the European market in distribution of electronic components. Distrelec is a sister company to ELFA and are both owned by the Daetwyler group.

Conflux´s CEO, Arnulf von Zedtwitz-Liebenstein, has bought 538 223 additional shares in the company.
“I have wanted to take a clear ownership position in the company for some time and now I finally have. This investment reflects my passion, belief and personal commitment to the well being of Conflux and my co-workers.”
The transaction was announced to the Board on the 12th of March and Arnulf now holds a significant part of the shares in Conflux.
The open house event was well received from the guests. The participants got a thorough presentation of the company, our technology, deep insights and latest business activities. They also had the opportunity to get the latest updates and technological breakthroughs and to see our new foils in action. The guests got a guided tour in the new and improved production hall that now has three times increased capacity in volume. To round up the nice open house evening a large Thai style buffet was served.
On Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Conflux is holding an Open House for shareholders, customers, partners and journalists.

Conflux obtains funding for a feasibility study for a research & development project. The project concerns the heating of batteries in electric and hybrid cars.

Conflux optimize performance in Saabs new eco car!
Saab 9-3 True Electric
During the political event Almedalen Week in Visby Saab’s all new electric and environmental friendly car, Saab 9-3 True Electric, was introduced for the very first time. The unique characteristics of this car are enabled by technology developed by Electroengine and Conflux.
Conflux unique intelligent heating technology creates a whole new world of possibilities for environmental cars of today. The self regulating heaters based on Conflux ZPZ foil optimize energy consumption and give electric and hybrid cars improved function in colder climate. This was not possible earlier, a fact that caused a lot of worries among manufacturers and distributors.

To refine and optimize the precision of its sensor technology, the Company has hired Conflux to develop a ZPZ foil, which ensures that the sensors are always optimal temperature, while power consumption is reduced. We are pleased over our partnership with Autoliv and to get help in their new strategic area, sensor technology.
Conflux helps Mini Tech to develop a new type of shoe-warmer
A development project with Norwegian Minitech AS is now launched. They have for some time sought a partner to develop a new type of heating technology for shoes, with our unique characteristics such as energy optimization and built-in thermal protection to be used in cold environments. Conflux has decided on an agreement to cooperate with Minitech AS to develop a desired thermal foil for use in shoes. The cooperation agreement includes that Minitech AS joins Conflux industrial partnership program and will even be under our brand Conflux - Intelligent heating inside™.
Minitech AS has 20 years of experience as an electronics- and development company focused on medical heating devices and custom electrical- and electromechanical solutions.
Conflux has filed a patent application for a new type of thermal foil, ZPI - Zero Positive Infinity. The ZPI foil is different compared to the ZPZ foil because it is a single-sided thermal foil that has other benefits in respect to the production of our partners.
The ZPI foil has been very well received by our partners RICA in Italy. One obvious application area is for the 230 V.
On September 15-17, we had a partner training at RICA where we showed them how to work with the ZPZ foil. During the training all of the departments were represented by the company such as the managers, buyers, engineers and production personel. Everyone saw the ZPZ foils unique characteristics from their point of view and how precisely they should work with the ZPZ foil as an input to improve their customer value. The training was received with great commitment and our cooperation with RICA is now stronger than ever.
Mouser Electronics and Conflux Sign Distribution Agreement
On the 4th of August, Conflux signed a distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics Inc, for distribution of PTC self-regulating heater discs, LCD heaters, and ZPZ foil within North America and Asia.
Mouser Electronics Inc is known for rapid introduction of the newest products and Mouser Senior Vice President of Products says, “We are so pleased that Conflux has chosen Mouser as a distribution partner. Their truly unique, intelligent heating products will expand the design options for engineers and allow them to conceive ideas not possible in the past”.

This is fully in line with our global strategy of providing the industry with this new technology – the first news in this industry in 40 years,” says Arnulf von Zedtwitz-Liebenstein, Conflux CEO.
We are pleased to announce two new employees, since Juha Rantanen and Peter Pikulik joined Conflux.
Juha, Project manager and R&D engineer, will be in charge of leading projects, product developing, production processes and deploy new production methods.
Juha’s most recent employment was at XCounter AB, where he as research manager lead the research and mechanical team to develop new sensors for X-ray radiation as well as new products for three dimensional X-ray display. Juha was an industry-based doctoral student at the physical institution at Uppsala University, and during studies he was also involved in creating position sensors with magnetoresistive CMR materials.
Peter, project manager, will reinforce the team within product development and application design.
Peter has a Master’s degree in product and process development from Mälardalens Högskola 2006 and after that he worked as mechanical designer at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication AB. Peter comes originally from Malmö, he is 28 years old an lives in Enskede with his daughter Matilda and his spouse Lovisa. He has a great passion for martial arts and motorsport, and he also enjoys a good game of Poker.
"I like bringing order to chaos. I hope my knowledge within product, process and designing development will contribute to Conflux, and that I can be a new pair of eyes searching new possibilities for the company," says Peter.
Recently, Conflux have signed a cooperation agreement with Electroengine, stating that Conflux during the period of this agreement will develop heating foils specially developed for different equipment in electric and hybrid cars. The assignment includes batteries, cabin comfort and otherapplications.
Conflux will develop these heating foils and gives hem to Electroengine to use for testing and evaluation in electric cars. We will also do lab tests with heating foils and other equipment, of which the parties successively will agree upon.
Electroengine is an electronic company, placed in Uppsala, Sweden, with focus on next generation innovations and solutions for electrical vehicules.
It is widely known that LCDs have functionality problems at low temperatures. The global industry company Sauer-Danfoss that, besides many things, delivers LCDs to construction and forestry machines has chosen Conflux ZPZ foil to ensure the display performance in cold environments.
Conflux' annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday the 10th of December 2008, at 17:00. A written invitation has been sent out. Please respond before December 5th.
Conflux AB has developed the ZPZ foil to function with 230VAC. Heating foils for temperatures of 20ºC and up with an area smaller than 1 cm2 can be manufactured. Heaters in these sizes and for this voltage have the traditional heating foil industry not been able to deliver up until now.
Numerous major companies in different industrial verticals have shown interest in such product, companies from industries like medical technology, telecom, space and IT.
As the next step in its ongoing expansion in the intelligent heating market, Conflux has recruited Martin Öhman, M Sc, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. As a material engineer with a specialization in polymeric materials, Martin brings great value to the company.
Conflux has initiated a development project with CK Systems, Kivex Biotec Ltd, market leader within development, manufacturing and sale of innovative laboratory equipment to the growing IVF market.
